Movie Review : Mufasa - The Lion King.

I finally emerged from my ridiculously busy schedule to finish watching this movie... and by 'finally', I mean it took me a whopping 6 days! Yep, you read that right - 6 whole days to watch one movie. Don't judge me, I've been busy! After reading countless reviews of this movie, I felt motivated to share my own thoughts. I must confess: until the very end, I couldn't tell Mufasa and Taka apart, until Taka betrayed Mufasa- both lions looked alike to me! And don't even get me started on the lionesses. This is probably why I've never been a fan of K-dramas, where everyone seems to blend together.  What I love about the movie. I love that it started with Rafiki sharing the story, and the little humor Timon and Pumbaa were serving us. I admire Mufasa's bravery and strength and I firmly believe that he deserved to be a king. Book Review: The Girl With The Louding Voice By Abi Dare.

  I know you'd identify me as a girl who loves reading Middle Grade Books, Yes, I'm still that girl. Last year, I came across numerous reviews of "The Girl With The Louding Voice" that piqued my interest. Initially, I ignored them, thinking it wasn't my kind of book. However, as time passed, my curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, now, I'm moved to explore more books written by Nigerian authors. Here's my take on the book.... About the book. The book deals with themes of child marriage, domestic servitude and violence against women. The book revolves around Adunni, a 14 year old girl who is desperate for education, after her mother's death, things take a devastating turn, driven by poverty her father sold her as a third wife to an old man.
